World Book & Copyright Day Celebration 2021 launched by the Chairman of Kedah State Library (PPAK), Mr. Mohd Firdaus b. Ahmad. This program is officially conducted at Kedah Digital Library by following compliance of SOP set by government during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

A press conference was officially held with several leading media companies such as Bernama news, Harian Metro, Sinar, Warta Kedah, The Star and others to introduce and promote Kedah Digital Library Services to Malaysians specifically to local residents of Kedah.

Working visit to KDL by YB Deputy Minister of Finance 1, Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri.

A KDL Operating Budget Coordination Meeting was held where NCIA will help facilitate Kedah State Library (PPAK) as the KDL operator in terms of financing operating costs for a year on phase 1 and phase 2 respectively.

The ownership and operating status of KDL has been changed from MBI Kedah to Kedah State Library (PPAK) according to the decision made during Kedah State Steering Committee (JPN) Meeting No. 3/2020 on 3 Nov 2020 which was chaired by the YAB Menteri Besar of Kedah.

Site visit to KDL by YB Dato ‘Paduka Ammar bin Dato’ Shaikh Mahmood Naim from Kedah State Secretary. Formal handing over of the keys to the building and equipment of the Kedah Digital Library by the Representative of the Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) towards Director of the Kedah State Library.

Handover of electronic and lighting equipment such as lamps, air conditioners, electrical goods to the Kedah MBI (Mr. Helmi Khalid).

Handover of IT supplies & mobile furniture (‘loose furniture’) such as benches and more by NCIA to the Kedah MBI (Mr. Alsyukri Hamzah).

Contractor accountable for the development of Phase 2 has been assigned and is scheduled to complete within twelve (12) months (September 2021).
